Firstly by now you'll know this is my beautiful, cheeky and hugely loved little mum. This was our group before Christmas, hence the sparkles and sequins. Unlike the hideous Alzheimer's Society adverts playing in those LIVING with dementia homes constantly stating the awful message "with dementia it's dying over and over and over again" our fabulous Hertswise dementia groups give out a totally different message thank goodness. Keep sparkling always 💜❤️
We're having a very hard time coming to terms with no one stepping in from either Hertfordshire County Council who put the tender out for the contract Alzheimer's Society now has or indeed Alzheimer's Society themselves. It's mind-blowing the total and utter sham that's been made so far in this takeover process from Hertswise to Alzheimer's Society. I would never have thought intimidation and a lack of understanding and knowledge for those living with dementia and their unpaid carers would come from such not only a very well known charity but also the fact they're the dementia advisors to the government.
I and those who stand with us won't give up making sure those responsible for making such detrimental choices for such a huge vulnerable group of people are brought to task.
