Today's photo above is of someone who doesn't always get the love and affection they did before dementia came in to their lives. But the magical affect walking in to that church hall and being surrounded by care, compassion and warmth can change that and heart filling moments like these happen. Another reason to fight to keep these Hertswise dementia groups the way they are. If it's not broke don't try and fix it 💙❤️
It means even more this week after the Alzheimer's Society tried to bully us sending a direct private message suggesting there were inaccuracies in this petition. Obviously we didn't back down and are currently waiting for answers on who's authority was that correspondence sent and to state what they feel is inaccurate. Shocking behaviour from a charity whose public image is all about caring for carers and those they care for living with dementia.
