So, after weeks of trying to get anyone to answer our questions about the future of our Hertswise dementia groups I am pleased to announce Alzheimer's Society has contacted me. Unfortunately, our optimism was short lived. I received a direct message to my Facebook account from the Alzheimer's Society within 24hours of commenting on Vicky McClure's Alzheimer's Society Facebook advisement mentioning our plight. The direct message I received said "We are concerned about inaccuracies published in a recent petition" but they made no mention of what their concerns were and did not even have the courtesy to let me know who they were. After weeks of getting nothing, funny how in such a short time after a post on an Alzheimer's Society celebrity they get in touch. I would have been much happier if they had answered any of the concerns in our petition or the numerous emails we have written to councillors and executive members of Hertfordshire County Council about the future of our Hertswise dementia groups. When I first read their message I felt scared I'd done something wrong but then quickly realised what we're doing here is not wrong. It's just about giving everyone who needs it two hours a week of joy, comfort and support. You wonderful people on here are helping us to not be ignored. We will forever be grateful to each and every one of you for taking the time to sign and share 💙❤️
