Hello caring community and neighbors,
An issue related to our powerful work together has come up, we are being asked to make our voices heard once again. Please consider the following call to action between now and this Tuesday 3/10/26.
Let's stand up together again to let our elected officials know we are still serious about protecting our homes, kids, schools, neighborhoods from being co-located with industries that carry heavy pollutant burdens.
Call to Action:
Urgent: State Senate about to vote on Resynergi-type facilities statewide. Our community stopped the Resynergi plastic-to-fuel facility near a school, but a loophole in SB 131 still allows these high-risk plastic/chemical operations to be classified as “light manufacturing.” The State Senate may vote Tuesday, and Sen. Christopher Cabaldon’s vote could decide the outcome.
If you live/work/have kids in District 3, please call now (60 seconds):
Sen. Cabaldon — (916) 651-4003
Say: “Please support the SB 131 fixes to close the loophole that allowed the Resynergi facility near a school.”
Please forward, post, and ask others in District 3 to call ASAP.
SOCIAL MEDIA POST:
URGENT: Help stop Resynergi-type facilities statewide
Our community fought hard to stop the Resynergi plastic-to-fuel facility next to a school. It was only possible because of a dangerous loophole in SB 131 that classifies high fire- and explosion-risk plastic/chemical facilities as “light manufacturing.”
Now the State Senate may vote Tuesday to close that loophole but District 3 Senator Christopher Cabaldon is reportedly undecided — and his vote could decide the outcome. This is the moment to ensure facilities like Resynergi can’t be sited in ANY California community.
If you live, work, or have children in District 3, please take 30 seconds to call:
Sen. Christopher Cabaldon — (916) 651-4003
Say: “Please vote for the SB 131 fixes to close the loophole that allowed the Resynergi facility in Rohnert Park.”
Please share this post and ask others in District 3 to call.
