Demanding Justice: Reinstate a Wrongfully Terminated School Bus Driver Nick Moran

Demanding Justice: Reinstate a Wrongfully Terminated School Bus Driver Nick Moran
The Issue
I was unjustly terminated from my position as a School Bus Driver with the Anglophone West School District in 2022, a career deeply rooted in my family history as I followed in my grandfather's footsteps. I took immense pride in my work, always maintaining a positive attitude and dedication to my responsibilities. However, during the height of the global pandemic when the cost of living soared, I was abruptly let go without valid reason, despite the critical shortage of School Bus Drivers which continues to worsen.
While CUPE New Brunswick offered some assistance, they failed to adequately support me in filing a grievance, denying me the chance to address the wrongful termination. This ordeal caused me profound distress, especially considering my impeccable record and unwavering commitment to my duties. Additionally, the employer was aware of my personal challenges, including my pending ADHD diagnosis, which I suspect may have been unfairly used against me.
Upon further investigation, I discovered inaccuracies and undisclosed information in my employee file, adding to the injustice I faced. My sole desire is to reclaim my career as a School Bus Driver, a profession I cherish and intended to pursue until retirement. I have always maintained positive relationships with students and parents alike, and I firmly believe I deserve the opportunity to continue serving my community in this capacity.
I encourage you to sign this petition, urging the school district to rectify this wrongful termination and restore my livelihood. With the current shortage of School Bus Drivers, it is unconscionable for the district to deprive families of essential transportation services. Parents and students deserve assurance that their transportation needs will be met reliably and consistently. Your support can help ensure that justice is served and essential services are upheld for our community.
