I am working on writing legislation for a loan rehab program. EVERYONE who has defaulted their NJCLASS loan--I need your info. Please email the following answers to debnbill526@comcast.net (1)Years you took NJCLASS loans and amount you borrowed each year (2) Loan Option (1, 2 or 3) you chose when you took your loans in each year (3)Year loans went into repayment (4)Year HESAA defaulted your loans (5)Did HESAA offer to re-age your loan (6)Are you paying thru HESAA's collection attorney or did you have to file Bankruptcy (7)Did HESAA's collection attorney obtain a Judgment Lien against you or your co-signers I am trying to work up some statistics to show to the legislatures that these were, in fact, SUBPRIME loans, that HESAA gave out freely without any strict underwriting standards. In my research, thus far, Option 3 Loans (deferred principal and interest until graduation), that were taken between 2006 and 2012 and the loans with the MOST default rates.
