Demanding Fair Visa Appointment Systems: Protecting Applicants from Scammers

Das Problem

To: Government Officials, Immigration Authorities, and Policy Makers

We, AGS Welt Group: A multinational group of companies headquartered in Berlin, with a presence on five continents, call upon governments and immigration authorities worldwide to reform visa appointment systems to ensure fair, transparent, and accessible processes for all individuals seeking to reunite with family, study abroad, start their employment in foreign countries etc.

The Issue: Flawed Visa Appointment Systems
In recent years, many countries have delegated visa-related matters (biometric collection, receiving documents and passports, returning personal documents after decision, and managing appointments for submissions) to third-party service providers, resulting in numerous challenges for applicants. These systems, designed to ease workloads, have instead allowed manipulators and morally dubious factions to exploit vulnerable individuals.

Third Party Service Providers Weaker systems allow scammers to exploit technological tools to book, block, and then sell appointments. This happens because third-party service providers neglect proper system management and have failed to address issue that has persisted for years. They book all 100% available appointments each month, leaving no options for others. Scammers are profiting by selling these appointment slots at exorbitant prices, sometimes amounting to thousands of euros or USD

Emotional and Financial Hardship: The resulting chaos leads to emotional distress, psychological trauma, and significant financial losses for countless individuals.

Impact on Families: People seeking family reunification, education, and employment opportunities etc. face scams, leaving them feeling helpless and traumatized after months or years of effort.

A Call for Change
We believe that governments have a responsibility to ensure fair access to immigration processes and must discourage scammers. By reviewing contracts with service third party providers, authorities can mitigate these issues and prevent the exploitation of individuals seeking legitimate pathways to their goals.

We urge you to take action by:

Conducting a thorough review of existing appointment systems to identify and address inefficiencies and corruption.
Implementing stringent regulations and oversight for third-party service providers to prevent scammers from exploiting applicants.
Establishing transparent and accessible processes that prioritize the needs of individuals.
Learning from successful case studies, such as the US Government's reforms in India, to implement effective solutions that serve the people (The solution is possible, and case study is already available).

Join Us in Advocating for Change
We invite you to join us in advocating for a fairer, more equitable appointments process. By signing this petition, you lend your voice to the millions affected by these flawed systems. Together, we can bring about the change needed to ensure that everyone has access to the opportunities they deserve without fear of exploitation.

Sign this petition to demand that governments prioritize fairness, transparency, and compassion in immigration and appointment processes.

Together, we can create a future where every individual can pursue their dreams without barriers.

Our plan of action focuses on mobilizing support to reform flawed visa appointment systems, ensuring fair and transparent processes for individuals. We will launch awareness campaigns through social media and engage influencers to amplify our message, while simultaneously creating a compelling petition on Change.org to collect signatures and personal stories from affected individuals. By gathering evidence-based data through surveys and expert collaboration, we aim to present our findings directly to policymakers, advocating for legislative changes. Additionally, we will engage with the media to raise awareness and build a coalition of stakeholders committed to immigration reform. Through public events and continuous monitoring of our progress, we seek to drive meaningful change in the immigration process, ultimately prioritizing the needs of individuals and families worldwide. Furthermore, we aim to publish research and collaborate with our legal teams in different countries to present data from this petition in administrative courts, seeking a decision that would compel state authorities to address this issue.
