Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared, added a comment, and promoted this petition. There are now 1,130 of us calling for resignations from Sneed, Rankin, Hatch, Haynes, and Monterrey Duval for their failed leadership. Thank you also to the various news organizations that have covered this petition, as well as for their persistent coverage of countless questionable actions by and related to several of the named CMS BOE members.
I will present the petition at the CMS Board Meeting this evening. It starts at 6pm in the Chamber Room of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center at 600 East Fourth Street. The meeting will also be live-streamed on the BOE's YouTube channel as usual: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education - YouTube. There are approx. 10 speakers on the public comment list who will address our community's desire for better governance, plus several others addressing other issues. Please consider attending the meeting to show your support of our cause and please continue to circulate the petition and to shine a light on the CMS BOE. Yes - several investigations are happening and hopefully we will learn more from those, but it is also essential to show these Board members that they have lost public trust and that we demand better governance.
