Petition updateDemanding CMS BOE Resignations

Thank You & Quick Update!

Thank you to everyone who has signed the petition calling on several CMS BOE members to resign after their shocking decision to fire Dr. Hill “for convenience.” Thanks also to everyone who has shared the petition and/or contributed a few dollars to help promote the campaign. We are putting the CMS BOE on notice that we do not want them to continue spending frivolously on investigations, severances, consulting fees, etc. while our district lacks basic things like adequate bussing and basic classroom supplies, and our teachers and other staff aren’t paid enough.

NUMBERS: Our petition now has 538 signatories from across the community and it continues to grow.

MEDIA COVERAGE: WCCB & WFAE have both mentioned the petition in their coverage of CMS, and I contributed to a Queen City News article, too.

WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW: Please take a moment to share our petition with a few friends, and ask them to sign and share, too.

WHAT I PLAN TO DO: I plan to present our petition and our unified voice at an upcoming CMS BOE meeting. I want our voice to be as loud as possible so we cannot be ignored. Please consider attending an upcoming meeting and registering to share your concerns here: https://www.cmsk12.org/board/calendar-for-the-board-of-education

IMPORTANT NOTE: Threats of violence are absolutely NEVER acceptable, and I hope that none of us are behind the threats that have been reported by some of the Board members to whom we have addressed our petition. Please know that our petition must remain peaceful.

SEPARATE PETITION: There is a separate petition calling on Stephanie Sneed to resign. You can find that petition here: https://c.org/wDSLzWMjxr
