Tweed tries to avoid real questions

At yesterday's Tweed Airport Authority board meeting, at least 13 individual members of the public made forceful comments registering: 

• data-driven concerns about health, environment, and economic harms from airport expansion
• vehement objections to Tweed airport's maladministration (grave conflicts of interest, misleading the public, obfuscating when pressed, etc.) 

Tweed would rather we stayed quiet and the public stayed in the dark. 

But 480 of us and the Town of East Haven have rung a loud bell. Our demand for a federal Environmental Impact Statement is being heard. THANK YOU to all who have signed. 

NOW we need more of YOU to SIGN and SHARE our petition. 

In coming days, the airport will be submitting to the FAA their contractor's Environmental Assessment report (this "EA" is just a preliminary study). The airport bosses aim to avoid a thorough federal Environmental Impact Statement. They have offered a 30-day public comment period ... during the year-end holidays. Does that work for you? Such convenient timing!!
