Demand World Leaders to Enforce Ceasefire and Free Palestine
The Issue
Foremost as a mother and a human, I am deeply moved to initiate this petition. The people of Palestine are innocent individuals who have been living in conditions akin to an open-air concentration camp for the world to witness. Their Human Rights have been stripped away for far too long. They have been subjected to the most inhumane treatment imaginable, and it has to end now.
There is no excuse or justification for the murder of more than 4,500 babies, children, and more than 11,000 innocent Palestinian people. The citizens of Palestine deserve freedom from this torment and peace in their homeland.
Every day we are seeing across the world, innocent Palestinians being denied water, food, electricity and fuel. They are being shot at, bombed and have been subjected to white phosphorus, burning their skin and making it hard to breath.
Whilst the Israeli governments continuous bombardment of homes, hospitals, schools and refuge camps are going unstopped 2.2 million Palestinian people are being displaced. Innocent babies and children are left orphaned. Young children are having to try and find their siblings amongst crowds and witnessing their parents lying dead on the street or buried under the rubble from an airstrike. Fathers having to pick up their children's body parts and burying what they were able to find. Mother's crying with their dead child in their arms. Entire family's being wiped from existence. Benjamin Netanyahu and his government have no limits.
The World Health Organisation realised a statement on Sunday stating
Ministry of Health update about the dire situation at Al-Shifa Hospital - received on 12 Nov:
600-650 inpatients, 200-500 health workers and approximately 1500 internally displaced people still inside the hospital.
Lack of power, water and food, putting lives at immediate risk.
There is no safe passage out of the hospital.
Within the Al-Shifa hospital 45 patients were unable to receive kidney dialysis, and will die in the coming days without treatment.
37 premature babies were relocated to an operating room without their incubators, health workers tried to heat the room but 2 died yesterday, and 1 has died today.
Around 100 bodies are decomposing outside the hospital but health care workers cannot get outside to bury them. Patients are forced into corridors to avoid risk of being shot.
Hospitals are suppose to be a safe place, not a target.
We are seeing the atrocities that unfold each day to the Palestinian people, through the lens of the brave reporters of Palestine, who risk their lives to show the world the unspeakable images that will forever haunt them who survive and us. We can no longer sit in the comfort of our safe environments and do nothing. We are all complicit. We MUST take a stand and tell our governments enough is enough.
This petition calls upon world leaders to take notice of the people within their countries who demand justice for Palestine. We urge them to call for an immediate ceasefire and free Palestine from its current state of oppression.
Furthermore, we demand that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli government and IDF soldiers be investigated thoroughly for their actions and war crimes committed during this conflict. Those found guilty must face appropriate punishment as per international law norms.
The time has come when we cannot turn a blind eye towards these atrocities anymore. We implore you all not just as leaders but as fellow humans - stand up against injustice; stand up for humanity; stand up for Palestine!
Please sign this petition today – let us together make our voices heard loud enough that they can no longer be ignored!
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
