Hey everyone.
Last month, the NRJDC contract went into effect. While we are still working on the details of the new contact, we call all concerned petitioners to pack the next NRJDC Jail Commission meeting this Thursday, May 28 at 11am. The meeting, open to the public, will be held at the Indoor Recreational Area of the NRJDC building (45 Fort Collier Rd., Winchester, VA), entering Brooke Rd.
For those looking to attend, this is going to be a quiet protest. We ask to not bring signs or make noise. We are here to observe, to put pressure, and to show the commission that Winchester wants ICE OUT of our community. If you are one of the 2.4K signatories, we ask for you to show up. The work doesn’t begin or end at signing a petition. The more we continue showing up, the more they’ll understand how deeply this matters to our community. Let’s show them what Winchester is made of.
