We are gathering to demand better shelter conditions and accountability from our local leadership. Last year, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava allocated $77,000 for renovations at the Medley shelter—but the funds were never used. Her office stated that “plans changed,” despite her public commitment to keeping Medley in a safe, clean, and habitable condition.

We are also standing in honor of Rocky the dog, whose tragic death highlights the urgent need for reform. Let’s be a voice for the voiceless and advocate for justice, transparency, and humane treatment for all shelter animals.
