Hi All, 

Sending you this update from my parked car, where I have the A/C on full blast. It’s reading 87 degrees on my dashboard. It’s 95 in Nashville, 98 in Dallas and 104 in El Paso. Heat Advisories have been issued in the Southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley where the heat index will approach 110.  

It’s only July 9th, so this is just the beginning.

Imagine being stuck in the back of a big brown truck with no fans, no A/C and no ventilation in this heat. Now add hundreds of packages – some of them up to 150lbs – into the mix. Our UPS drivers will keep delivering, but please be aware: this is NOT safe. 

When you see the men and women in brown, please offer them a cold or frozen drink if you can. They need all the support they can get from their customers, because they're not getting any from UPS.
