The University of Colorado has announced, effective fall 2023, ALL incoming engineering freshmen will be REQUIRED to live in Williams Village.

As a CU Alum, I find this new policy/requirement to be very troubling.  This new policy is the opposite of diversity and equality.  Engineering students should be given an opportunity to live on main campus just like the rest of the population.  Why relegate just engineering student to Williams Village?  Why can’t engineering students be given the benefit of a main campus first year experience?  Why prevent engineering students from the benefit of having a diverse dorm experience, with students of all backgrounds, likes and qualities?  

Please join me in demanding the University of Colorado reverse this short-sided and poorly thought out change.  Please demand the University of Colorado continue to allow all incoming freshman, engineers or not, an equal opportunity to live in a main campus dorm and enjoy a full campus experience.
