Demand Transparent and Professional Handling of BTS Screenings by PVR INOX India

Demand Transparent and Professional Handling of BTS Screenings by PVR INOX India
The Issue
We, members of the BTS ARMY across India, are writing to raise serious concerns about the repeated mismanagement of BTS-related screenings by PVR INOX/ PVR Cinemas.
Over the past few years, and especially with upcoming live screenings scheduled globally, fans in India have consistently faced the same issues — lack of communication, unclear ticketing timelines, and unreliable screening management.
Tickets are often released at the last minute without any prior announcement. Fans are left checking platforms repeatedly without knowing when bookings will open, only to find tickets suddenly available overnight. This results in many missing out entirely, despite being ready and willing to attend.
There is also no clear information about which cities will host screenings. Major cities such as Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and several other cities in India are frequently left uncertain or informed too late, making it difficult for fans to plan in advance.
More concerning are instances where screenings have been cancelled without any official communication. In some cases, tickets were booked for shows that were later denied by theatre staff, leaving customers confused and stranded. There has been no prior notification, no clear explanation, and no accountability in such situations.
This creates a serious issue for fans who may travel from other cities expecting to attend a confirmed screening, only to discover upon arrival that the show is no longer taking place.
Additionally, refund processes have been significantly delayed. Customers have had to follow up multiple times over extended periods, sometimes waiting weeks to receive their money back. This reflects poorly on customer service standards and erodes trust.
These are not isolated incidents but recurring problems that indicate a lack of structured planning and communication.
As one of India’s largest cinema chains, PVR INOX has both the resources and responsibility to manage such events professionally. BTS screenings are not niche events — they attract a large, organized, and paying audience.
We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for basic standards of service that any customer deserves.
We request the following:
- Advance announcement of ticket sales with clear and consistent timelines
- Transparent communication regarding screening cities and locations
- Timely updates for any changes or cancellations
- Fair consideration for major cities across India
For many fans in India, these screenings are the only accessible way to experience BTS performances. With no confirmed concerts in the country, these events hold significant emotional and cultural value.
We also welcome support from international ARMY, whose solidarity can help bring attention to this issue and encourage better standards.
We urge PVR INOX to acknowledge these concerns and take meaningful steps to improve the experience for its customers.
Regards,
BTS ARMY, India
