Demand Transparency in the MBA Admission Process at IIT ISM Dhanbad

Demand Transparency in the MBA Admission Process at IIT ISM Dhanbad
The Issue
I am an aspiring candidate currently waitlisted for the MBA program at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. Like many others in my position, I am facing mounting frustration and uncertainty due to the lack of transparency in the admission process—specifically regarding the composite scores and waitlist movement.
For an institution of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad’s stature, known for academic excellence, this opacity is deeply concerning. While other IITs and IIMs regularly update applicants on merit lists, cutoffs, and waitlist progress, we are left in the dark—unable to make informed decisions about our academic and professional futures.
We believe that a fair, accountable, and transparent admission process is not a privilege—it’s a right. It is essential for trust-building and reflects the values an academic institution must stand for.
We therefore urge the admissions office at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad to:
Publicly disclose each candidate’s composite score
Provide real-time or periodic updates on waitlist movements
By doing so, the Institute will reaffirm its commitment to student welfare, ethical practices, and educational integrity.
Please sign this petition to request IIT (ISM) Dhanbad to make these necessary and overdue changes to the MBA admission process.
