For nearly five years, I've called Acqua Private Residences in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, my home. During this time, the community and quality of life here have meant a great deal to me and my family. However, like many of my fellow residents, I find myself troubled by the lack of transparency on the P145 per sqm condominium association dues. We deserve. to know exactly how these funds are managed and allocated.

Accountability and good governance are not abstracts; they are the foundations of trust and stability in any community. We, the residents, pay a significant amount monthly and yet receive little to no detailed reports that explain how our money is being utilized. 

It is within our rights to demand clarity. According to Philippine laws, specifically the Republic Act No. 4726 or the Condominium Act, we residents should be kept informed about financial matters concerning our shared living spaces. Transparency is not just a request; it's a legal obligation that ensures fair and equitable treatment for all.

A practical solution would involve regular and comprehensive financial statements being distributed to all condo owners, alongside with open forums to discuss and clarify these reports. It is essential that our building's management embraces transparency, providing us ample assurance and confidence in how our payments contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of our living environment.
