As animal advocates, we are deeply concerned with the integrity of rescue operations, we are troubled by the actions of Chella Phillips. In August 2019, ahead of Hurricane Dorian, she launched multiple fundraisers that collected hundreds of thousands USD in donations, without a non-profit status. The absence of clear information raises serious questions about where these funds have gone as they do not appear to have been used for their intended purpose, which was to purchase a piece of land for a dog sanctuary to house the 97 dogs she had at the time. 

Fast forward, 4 years and 5 months later, Chella Phillips once again asked for public donations for ostensibly the same purpose as before - a purpose that was not fulfilled despite significant financial support in 2019. Why she did not buy the property when she was blessed with £295,000 from August through September 2019, PLUS the unknown amount she received directly in her personal bank account, PayPal, and Venmo? The viral fundraisers were created in anticipation of being homeless with 97 dogs if Hurricane Dorian hit her island. 
Chella Phillips has consistently avoided answering questions about the whereabouts and usage of these funds. This raises red flags about her intentions and money management capabilities.

It's crucial to differentiate legitimate rescue operations from fraudulent ones based on their money management practices. We cannot allow individuals like Chella Phillips to exploit public generosity without delivering on their promises or providing transparency about fund usage.

We demand a thorough investigation into this matter and call upon relevant authorities to hold Chella Phillips accountable if any wrongdoing is found. Transparency in charitable endeavors is non-negotiable; it ensures trust between donors and organizations while ensuring that aid reaches those who truly need it.

We demand full transparency from Ms. Phillips regarding how past donations were spent before any further fundraising attempts are made. We also call on relevant authorities to investigate this matter thoroughly.
