My dog Elva collapsed with a pyometra emergency on 20 July 2025. She was taken to Pets at Home Vets, where she should have received urgent, time‑critical surgery. Instead, she was left for hours without escalation. She did not go to theatre until after 11:45pm.
For seven months, I have been trying to obtain her full clinical records through a Subject Access Request. Only this week, Pets at Home admitted they had “not included” key clinical files in their original disclosure. They have now released four abdominal scan videos timestamped from 17:40 onwards, proving Elva was still being scanned hours after she arrived and still not taken for emergency surgery.
Important clinical information is still missing, including the surgery start time, which is required under veterinary record‑keeping standards. Without this, the timeline of her care cannot be properly assessed.
I am asking for transparency, full disclosure of Elva’s records, and accountability for the delays and omissions that contributed to her deterioration and death. No family should have to fight this hard for basic information about their pet’s care.
Please support this petition so no one else has to go through this.
