It's heartbreaking to see so many players disappointed with the recent changes in Township. The game's shift in focus towards profit over player enjoyment has led to widespread frustration. Many players, including myself, feel that the game is becoming too expensive to play, with the constant push for in-app purchases.¹
The Fashion Pass, in particular, has been a point of contention, with many players finding it too difficult to obtain without spending a significant amount of money. This new fashion pass has also resulted in a lack of items in the market, making it even more challenging for players to progress without breaking the bank.
It's not just the financial aspect that's causing concern, but also the lack of engagement and fun in the game. The constant mandatory play of match-3 and lack of town tasks with the absence of the golden ticket and it’s rewards, exciting content have left many players feeling bored and unenthusiastic. Then you add the cost to try to achieve what we were able to before is beyond discouraging with defeat! Many can’t keep their co op requirements fulfilled that we agreed to before this change.
The admins in Fb group “Township Community” have been supporting the community and have been amplifying players' voices deserve recognition and appreciation. Thank you for letting us share our petition in the group. Everyone who has signed did their part. Everyone who shared did their part and everyone (admins) who allowed and approved my posts did their part. Your efforts have helped bring attention to the issues plaguing the game and have provided a platform for players to share their concerns. Township developers & other groups on Fb & Reddit have shown lack of concern for players needs!
Playrix, it's time to listen to your players and make some changes. We want to keep playing and enjoying the game, but the current state of affairs is discouraging us from doing so. We urge you to find a better balance between profit and player enjoyment, and to bring back the fun and engagement that made Township so beloved in the first place.
