We are concerned students demanding that the new  who started Jan 2022 To be in immediately removed by the for anti-Blackness, anti-racist and policing of BIPOC students. 

Since  arrival at the school, we have observed the following :

1. Anti-Black statements made about students

2. Policing and monitoring students in the hallway and washrooms 

3. Attempts to push out students to alternative schools 

4. Engaging in practices that push the school-to-prison pipeline 

5. Inviting our old SROs in the school despite terminating the program 

6. Removing religious quotes from the yearbook by Muslim students

7. Increase of suspensions against Black and Brown students  

8. Threats against Black and brown students   

9: Advising teachers to not build relationships with students 

10: Citing false policies to weaponize against students 

11:  Threatening to call the police 

12: making school feel like a prison environment than a school.

13:Unlawful searches on students that include body and personal property searches 

School is meant to be a safe environment not where students feel like it’s a prison environment or having to worry about being kicked out of school or threatened to go to alternative schooling. We condemn these practices and actions that increase and criminalize students into the school-to-prison pipeline .

must preserve the integrity and culture at that has been built on resisting anti-Black racism and systemic racism. We want to move forward but it feels like we are only going backwards when it comes to systematic racism
