Demand to Address Non-Working Traffic Light on Orleans Street and N Patterson Park Ave

The Issue

To: The City of Baltimore, Department of Transportation, and Relevant City Officials

We, the undersigned residents and concerned citizens of Baltimore, are writing to urgently raise awareness and demand immediate action regarding a non-working traffic light located on the intersection of Orleans St and N Patterson Park Ave which has led to multiple car accidents due to inaccurately working streetlight and unsafe driving conditions for motorists and pedestrians.

The traffic light at this location has been out of service and malfunctioning for months, and despite multiple complaints and requests for repairs, the issue has not been addressed by the City of Baltimore. This negligence has directly contributed to a rise in car accidents in the area, putting the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and the community at risk.
We believe that the failure to repair this traffic light is not only a violation of public safety but a clear example of the City's lack of urgency in addressing basic infrastructure needs.

We demand that the City of Baltimore take immediate steps to:
            1.    Repair and restore the non-working traffic light on Orleans Street and N Patterson Park Ave as soon as possible.
            2.    Implement regular maintenance checks to ensure all streetlights are operational, particularly in high-traffic and accident-prone areas.
            3.    Provide transparency on the status of repairs and timeline for resolution to the concerned residents.

The safety of our community is at stake, and we can no longer accept further delays. We call on the City of Baltimore to fulfill its duty to protect its citizens and rectify this dangerous situation.
We respectfully ask for your support in signing this petition so we can bring about the necessary change to keep our streets safe for everyone.
