In 2025, TIME Magazine honored Blake Lively as one of its “100 Most Influential People” under the "Titan" category, praising her as a "risk taker." But what exactly are we rewarding here?

Around December 2024, actor and director Justin Baldoni had his award from the women’s organization Vital Voices rescinded immediately after Blake Lively made dubious and heinous claims, accusing him of sexual harassment and of launching a retaliatory smear campaign against her. The honor was for his vital role as a male ally to women and using “his platform to inspire meaningful societal change.” No investigation. No trial. No evidence. No due process. Just instant public humiliation and execution.

Now in 2025, Blake Lively herself is facing serious legal allegations backed by evidence and facts for defamation, civil extortion, breach of implied-in-fact contract, promissory fraud, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, false light invasion of privacy, and more. She is being sued for allegedly weaponizing false harassment claims to sabotage Justin Baldoni’s career and reputation, manipulate the media narrative, and orchestrate a hostile takeover of the film he was directing. These are not small claims—this is alleged malicious and unlawful behavior.

Yet TIME chose to reward her, of all people, in 2025 with one of its highest honors, spinning her toxic and domineering traits as qualities of a "Titan" and "risk taker" and celebrating these traits as positive, when in reality, she uses them to silence, smear, and steamroll others.

This is not admirable influence. This is manipulation.

We, the undersigned, believe TIME Magazine’s decision to honor Blake Lively in light of these disturbing allegations and her pattern of harmful behavior sends a dangerous message about who society elevates and why. This double standard, where a lesser-known man is punished without facts and proof, while a cutthroat and ruthless woman with immense wealth, fame, and institutional power like Blake is praised despite serious accusations and misconduct, reveals a troubling bias.

We demand that TIME Magazine immediately revoke and rescind Blake Lively’s inclusion in the 2025 TIME100 list under the “Titan” category.

Accountability should go both ways. And public honors should not be given to those accused of abusing power for personal gain— especially when the facts and evidence support those serious allegations.

In addition, since Justin Baldoni’s award was rescinded based on mere allegations alone, it is only fair that Blake Lively’s award also be rescinded in light of the very serious nature of the allegations made by Justin and multiple other parties.
