I'm an elected member of the San Mateo, CA County Democratic Central Committee. If I had attended the California Democratic Convention yesterday, I would have been present when the demonstration of other delegates of my party, shown in the photo above, disrupted the convention to demand a ceasefire in Gaza. They harassed and intimidated jewish fellow democrats, according to a Politico article published today, and chanted "from the river to the sea", a reference to completely replacing Israel with a Palestinian nation, and "intifada, intifada". I'm glad I wasn't there, but sorry I couldn't be there in solidarity with my fellow jewish democrats who must have had a very nasty shock.

It's hard to feel like the California Democratic Party is still a welcoming home for me.
