IXL, an online learning platform, has been under scrutiny for its point system that many believe is rigged. This system not only demotivates learners but also puts their mental health at risk due to the stress and pressure it creates. Numerous students have reported feeling anxious and overwhelmed because of the unrealistic expectations set by this platform. The American Psychological Association has highlighted that such high-stress environments can lead to serious mental health issues among young learners, including anxiety disorders and depression (American Psychological Association). Therefore, we urge the relevant authorities to investigate these claims against IXL's point system and consider shutting down the platform if they are found true.
