Heart of Midlothian was on course to make history, and break the 40 year Old Firm stranglehold, by clinching the Scottish Premier League title for the 2025/26 season. 
However, in the vital last 3 matches two utterly OUTRAGEOUS Video Assistant Referee (VAR) decisions inexplicably altered the course of the league, leaving supporters and neutrals alike in disbelief. 

One penalty FOR hearts inexplicably overruled whilst another for Celtic seemed to materialise out of thin air, on the edge of the Motherwell box, in an unthreatening situation, from an innocuous HEADER, AFTER added time had finished.

BOTH these decision were necessary for Celtic to have any hope of winning the league on the final day.

The final moments of the decisive match were then marred by chaos, as the game seemed to end prematurely due to a pitch invasion, before the referee could signal the official end of play.
These 3 unsettling turn of events has left fans disillusioned and demanding justice.

The integrity of Scottish football is at stake. We cannot ignore these significant misjudgments, which have deprived a deserving team of their rightful championship glory. The world witnessed the unfolding controversy, and the reputation of our national league is now in jeopardy. It's crucial for the Scottish Football Association (SFA) to take immediate action and restore faith in the league’s fairness and transparency.

Therefore, we must urge the SFA to conduct a comprehensive public enquiry into the last three games of the 2025/26 SPL Premiership Season. The enquiry should objectively assess and identify any wrong decisions, evaluate the fairness of matches, and scrutinize potential rule violations. Furthermore, it should aim to implement the necessary corrective measures, both punitive and compensatory.

A fair and robust league is imperative for the growth and credibility of Scottish football. Clubs, players, and fans deserve a level playing field, where matches are decided based on skill and merit, without controversial oversights. A thorough investigation would not only address immediate grievances but would also ensure long-term improvements in officiating standards.
