OUR PETITION GOAL

Demand the SEC to Drop the Unjust Lawsuit Against Ripple Immediately and Support Crypto Innovation: Stop Wasting Taxpayer Money

We, the undersigned, call upon the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to immediately cease its lawsuit against Ripple Labs. This legal action exemplifies regulatory overreach, stifles technological innovation, and misuses taxpayer funds.

We urge the SEC to:

Drop the case against Ripple Labs immediately.

Collaborate with industry stakeholders to establish clear, fair, and consistent guidelines that support the growth of the cryptocurrency sector in the United States.

Focus on protecting investors through transparent regulation rather than litigation warfare.

This petition aims to unite XRP holders and the broader crypto community in advocating for a balanced regulatory approach — one that encourages innovation while ensuring investor protection. We believe that only through fair and consistent regulation can the U.S. maintain its competitive edge in the rapidly evolving digital asset space.

At a time when global competition in the digital asset space is intensifying, it is imperative that the U.S. fosters an environment conducive to innovation. Continuing this lawsuit risks pushing valuable technological advancements and economic opportunities offshore, to the detriment of American interests.

"The SEC's decision to appeal is disappointing, but not surprising. This just prolongs what's already a complete embarrassment for the agency. The Court already rejected the SEC’s suggestion that Ripple acted recklessly, and there were no allegations of fraud and, of course, there were no victims or losses." — Stuart Alderoty, Ripple’s Chief Legal Officer

The SEC’s relentless litigation strategy, described by Alderoty as "litigation warfare," highlights the agency's irrational and misguided approach. Instead of faithfully applying the law, the SEC continues to engage in costly legal battles that waste taxpayer money with no clear benefit to investors or the public.

"I'm not surprised. I'm pissed. I'm pissed that the SEC is spending OUR (taxpayer) money on a losing battle. I'm pissed that they are able to act without recourse or consequence. Regardless, WE WILL PREVAIL! For Ripple, for the XRP Army, and the crypto industry." — Brad Garlinghouse

This lawsuit has become a symbol of government overreach, where an agency believes it can operate above the law, ignoring a Court's ruling that XRP is not a security. Such actions damage the credibility of U.S. regulators and jeopardize the nation’s leadership in the emerging digital economy.

"A new low for a renegade agency many thought couldn't sink further." — Brad Garlinghouse

"Coincidence that the SEC’s Enforcement Director announced his resignation about an hour before this?" — Stuart Alderoty

"Gensler's SEC effectively froze our business opportunities here at home for years." — Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple Labs
