Demand the Resignation of Suella Braverman for Suppressing Freedom of Speech

The Issue

Please share this on social media platforms and email your local MP to demand the UK Government supports an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

This petition is deeply personal to me and many others who value democratic rights in the United Kingdom. Our Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, is currently lobbying the UK government to classify pro-Palestine protests as hate crimes against Jews. She has requested that the Metropolitan Police view these demonstrations as antisemitic and arrest participants. This move directly infringes on our democratic right to freedom of speech and holding our government accountable.

We are being censored for expressing our concern over a humanitarian crisis where thousands of lives are at stake. The death toll in Palestine is currently over 10,000 and rising rapidly due to ongoing conflict (source: UN reports). Protesting against this senseless loss of life does not equate to racism or antisemitism.

Suella Braverman's actions have shown a lack of empathy towards human suffering, an endorsement for genocide through her attempts at silencing protests, and she has become deeply unpopular with the British public due to these actions.

We demand her resignation not only because she fails to represent us but also because she threatens our fundamental rights as citizens in a democratic society. We urge you all - stand up for your right to free speech, stand up against censorship, stand up for democracy - sign this petition today!
