Demand the Resignation of Simon Harris, Without Pension

Demand the Resignation of Simon Harris, Without Pension
The Issue
Simon Harris has consistently displayed a pattern of incompetence and disregard for public welfare throughout his time in government.
2025 -scoliosis scandal
2019- Cervical Cancer scandal
Not to mention:
The national children's hospital delay and spiraling costs
The bike shelter that cost €336,000
In 2025, we were heartbroken and angered by the tragic case of nine-year-old Harvey Morrison Sherratt, who died after enduring years of excruciating pain while waiting for a surgery that was absurdly delayed. This 'scoliosis scandal' is a heart-wrenching example of how Harris's policies and leadership have failed the most vulnerable members of our society: our children.
The issues with Harris do not begin there. Back in 2019, as Minister for Health, he was at the center of the CervicalCheck scandal, which had devastating consequences for numerous women. Due to his oversight, false-negative smear tests and delayed diagnoses of cervical cancer led to the unnecessary suffering and deaths of countless women. These two catastrophic incidents highlight the alarming negligence and mismanagement recurrent in Simon Harris's political career.
At a time when accountability and integrity in public office are more crucial than ever, continuing to allow a leader with such a detrimental track record to serve in the government is reckless and unjust. We cannot and should not reward incompetency with a pension. Simon Harris must resign immediately and be held accountable for his failures without the comfort of a financial safety net from public funds.
By signing this petition, we send a clear message that we stand firmly against the injustices and failures perpetuated under his watch. We demand a government that truly represents and safeguards the health, safety, and well-being of its citizens. Let's hold those in power accountable and push for Simon Harris's resignation without a pension. Please sign this petition to ensure our voices are heard, and justice is served.
