Petition: Call for the Resignation of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese

In light of the recent tragic shootings in Bondi, Sydney, we, the undersigned citizens of Australia, call for the immediate resignation of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese MP.

The Prime Minister has failed in his most basic duty — to protect Australians and uphold the values that define our nation. Since the October 7 massacre in Israel, Australia has witnessed a disturbing rise in antisemitism, culminating in divisive and hateful protests on the steps of the Sydney Opera House. Rather than showing moral clarity and national unity, the government has responded with hesitation and weakness.

These failures have been compounded by unchecked migration policies that have placed increasing pressure on social cohesion and national security, eroding the shared values that once bound Australians together. The events in Bondi are not isolated but the result of a broader decline in leadership — one unwilling to confront extremism, enforce accountability, or defend/promote Australian values and our way of life.

Prime Minister Albanese’s inaction and failure to lead decisively have left Australians feeling unsafe, unheard, and unprotected. Our communities are losing faith in the very institutions meant to safeguard them.

Now, Anthony Albanese is attempting to shift the focus to gun reform, deflecting attention from the real issues — the failure to strengthen education, foster national pride, and confront the rise of extremist ideologies.

Australia needs a leader who stands firm against hate and violence, defends our values without apology, and restores confidence in the rule of law and national security.

For the good of the country and the safety of its people, we call on Anthony Albanese to resign immediately.
