Dr. Diana Greene, Superintendent of Duval County Schools, brought her deceiving property tax Millage proposal to the Duval County School Board Tuesday March 1, 2022. Among other things, the Superintendent plead for compassion of underpaid teachers and highlighted the increasing loss of teachers. These 2 topics (underpaid teachers & recent loss of teachers en masse) were cleverly conjured together as if they were one in the same. A fact was brought to the School Boards attention during the meeting that only 9 teachers in their exit surveys said salary was the reason for their departure. These surveys were given to the 385 teachers who have decided to leave Duval County Public Schools under Dr. Diana Greene's leadership. The article linked below shows how the local media has lapped up the fantasy conjecture created by Dr. Greene and is delivering it to the public as legitimate. The attached article also (willingly or unwittingly) forgets to mention the reckless legal liabilty and subsequent financial burden Dr. Diana Greene has already brought upon the Duval County tax payers during the 2021-2022 school year. Instead of acknowledging her lack of leadership and documented criminal behavior as the root cause of fumbling her $2.1 BILLION budget, she has the audacity once again to demand more money from Duval County tax payers who are leaving the public school system under her leadership in record numbers.
