Demand the Removal of Ward 48 Councillor, Themba Fosi!

The Issue

As residents of Ward 48 in Centurion, we find ourselves cornered by a local authority that has shown little regard for the community's welfare. Our Ward Councillor, Themba Fosi, has demonstrated an unacceptable decline in performance and community engagement. Our shared frustrations revolve around four crucial issues: lack of engagement, failure to address community concerns, neglect of responsibilities, and a consequential loss of community trust.

Engagement with his constituents, to whom Mr. Fosi owes his position, has been notably absent. We have rarely seen or heard from him in meetings where community voices should be prioritised. Such neglectful behaviour reveals a shameful disregard for our concerns, as they continue to remain unaddressed. Our streets remain unsafe, our infrastructure undeveloped, and our cries unheard. A councillor's job calls for relentless attention to community needs, something clearly missing in Mr. Fosi's dubious performance.

Faith in his duty to serve has drastically diminished as his neglect of responsibilities continues unabated. With eroding trust, our community is on shaky grounds, which is not conducive to the healthy progress of our neighbourhood. We refuse to let our community's future hang in the hands of a representative uninterested in safeguarding it.

Therefore, immediate steps must be taken to remove Councillor Themba Fosi and appoint a dedicated representative who will actively engage with residents, listen to our concerns, and work tirelessly towards resolving our issues. Our community deserves a ward councillor committed to public service and capable of restoring our lost faith. It is time to demand a change. We are calling on all like-minded residents of Ward 48 to sign this petition. Together, let's reclaim our voice and our community.

CoT made things easy for all Councillors by appointing Ward committees to work hand in hand with them, to be the link between the community and the councillor. Still, this councillor in question decided to ignore all of that by not working with the Ward Committee nor having meetings with them as requested by CoT.

The Heuweloord Residents Association (HRA) has already engaged the Mayor on key issues. This petition should not be seen as a political move but as a community-driven effort to ensure our concerns are addressed.
