I am writing this petition out of deep concern and personal pain. The mishandling of multiple bodies in Hinds County by coroner Sharon Grisham/Stewart, including those of Jonathan Hankins, Dexter Wade, and Marrio Moore has caused immense distress to their families and friends. This is not just a professional failing; it's a violation of our trust and respect for our loved ones.

The role of a coroner is critical in ensuring that the deceased are treated with dignity while providing accurate information to grieving families. However, under the current administration led by Ms. Grisham/Stewart, there have been numerous instances where this has not been the case.

Our community deserves better than this. We deserve a coroner who can handle these sensitive matters with professionalism, respect, and care - qualities that Ms. Grisham/Stewart has repeatedly failed to demonstrate.

We call upon relevant authorities to investigate these allegations thoroughly and take appropriate action if found true – which should include removing Ms. Grisham/Stewart from her position as Hinds County Coroner.
