The Examiner is running a poll right now where you can weigh in on the Flock cameras in your community. Please vote HERE.
Secondly, next Monday April 7th, the city council will discuss and presumably vote on two competing ideas for how to proceed with the cameras. I’m encouraging you to show up in overwhelming numbers.
Councilor Tim Sherrick will be presenting a path forward to actually bring a vote to the people as the council agreed to pursue in the workshop.
Councilor Aaron Kirkpatrick will be presenting a path that largely gives the city and Police Department everything they want—including twice as many cameras as we already have.
Please plan on attending the council meeting Monday night, and as always sign up to speak and share your thoughts for maximum impact.
Share the poll with others and invite them to the council meeting Monday. They’re counting on people losing interest in this and not maintaining focus as we go into Spring. Prove them wrong.
