Demand the Removal of Arriva Bus Company from Kent for Better Public Transport

The Issue

This plea stems from the personal and collective frustration shared by the people of Kent. Our daily lives are repeatedly disrupted by Arriva’s blatant disregard for its customers. Their buses are consistently late, causing significant delays that cascade through our schedules. Our children arrive late to school, and we struggle to get to work on time. These issues are not isolated incidents but recurring problems, with no sign of improvement. To make matters worse, some of their drivers often display an arrogant attitude, as if doing us a favor, even when they arrive late.

Arriva’s lack of effective communication and failure to maintain punctuality highlights the disservice they are doing to the people of Kent. Public transport is a vital lifeline that connects us to work, school, and leisure. But what happens when that lifeline becomes a source of stress and frustration? Entrusting Arriva with Kent's public transportation has proven to be a mistake. Their inefficiencies have disrupted not only our routines but also our trust in the public transport system.

Despite numerous complaints and reports, Arriva has made no meaningful effort to address these issues. They have ignored the chaos their unreliable services have caused and shown little concern for the stress they inflict on customers. To add insult to injury, the cost of their services is often unjustifiably high, offering little value for the money we pay. This is unacceptable.

We have reached our breaking point. It’s time for Kent County to reconsider Arriva's role in managing our public transport system. We deserve a service that respects its customers, prioritizes punctuality, and values effective communication. Let’s demand better. Let’s demand change.

Sign this petition to urge Kent County to remove Arriva Bus Company from our transportation system and replace it with a provider that truly values its paying customers.
