We are Sudanese American community members and constituents demanding urgent action to end the genocide unfolding in Sudan.

Since April 15, 2023, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)—a genocidal militia group—have launched a violent campaign of ethnic cleansing, mass killings, and sexual violence across Sudan. Entire communities have been massacred. Homes burned. Millions displaced. This is one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world today.

The devastation and destabilization is made possible by the United Arab Emirates (UAE)- a key U.S. ally and Major Defense Partner.

Despite global outcry, the UAE continues to provide weapons, funding, and logistical support to the RSF. This material support has enabled atrocities on a massive scale. As Americans, we cannot allow our government to turn a blind eye—or worse, enable—these crimes.

That’s why we’re calling on Congress to pass the Stand Up for Sudan Act (H.R. 2059 / S.935)—legislation that would suspend U.S. arms sales to the UAE until it ends all support for the RSF.

This is not just a Sudanese issue—it is a U.S. foreign policy issue. Our tax dollars and military partnerships should never contribute to war crimes. We have a moral and political obligation to act.
