Gaza is being hit extremely hard by the rain this year. displaced families have nothing but dilapidated tents to shield themselves from the elements, as refugee camps are flooded. the infrastructure that would drain water into the sea has been destroyed. water can mix with sewage & fresh graves, transmitting serious diseases ...
those in Gaza are more vulnerable than ever. due to severe malnutrition, they don't have healthy bodies capable of withstanding the cold – particularly children. hypothermia cases are rapidly rising.
turning our eyes to Sudan, the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces ( RSF ) violently seized the city of el-Fasher last month. thousands have been killed, including 500 + doctors, nurses, & patients at the Saudi Maternity Hospital. out of the masses who fled the city, some 60-80,000 people are still unaccounted for – many presumed to be dead or held for ransom.
the RSF has been launching attacks on neighbouring areas, such as the key city of Babnusa, or Kalogi. recently, the RSF deliberately carried out drone attacks on civilians in Kalogi – massacring at least 116 people. 116 people.
this includes 46 children in a preschool. 46 preschool children.
the Irish Government / media hasn't done nearly enough for our brothers & sisters in Palestine or Sudan. and so, I have laid out email templates directed at Irish Government representatives / media workers, demanding swift action and accurate reporting on the horror we see in Gaza, the horror we see in Sudan.
these messages are already typed out and ready to use. you only have to copy - paste the message, edit the text however you wish ( optional ), sign your name, and send to the provided email addresses. you don't have to be in Ireland ^^
I also encourage you to donate to Khartoum Aid Kitchen – they are on the ground in Sudan, feeding thousands daily. donating is important as famine grips the Sudanese people.
please keep donating, signing & sharing.
in solidarity,
-Holly xx
