As an individual who firmly believes in America's values of freedom and equality, I've been deeply affected by the actions of Donald J. Trump and Project 2025. For me, our great country is the land of the Free, not the home of the oppressed. Our country should be a safe haven for all, regardless of origin, legal status, gender, disabilities, or creed.

Under Trump's administration, we've seen an unsettling increase in divisive rhetoric and policies that contradict our country's founding ideals. His impeachment for charges of incitement of insurrection on January 6, 2021, is an oppressive marking in our democracy's history, a marking that must be punished with conviction to demonstrate to future leaders that such behavior is unacceptable (source: The New York Times, Jan 13, 2021).

Project 2025, similarly, threatens the liberties of many people. This, combined with Trump's track record, prompts great worry for our nation's future if left unaddressed.
