Dear Friends - I've just received word that N.A.R. President Kenny Parcell has resigned, effective immediately. This victory belongs to you. It is a testament to the power of collective action and organizing. Faced with mounting pressure from our petition campaign and upcoming plans to lead a boycott of N.A.R. events and protest outside the HQ in Chicago, he had no choice but to step down. The real heroes are the courageous women who dared to speak truth to power, risked their jobs, their privacy, and so much more in order to stand up for what is right. Mr. Parcell's resignation is not the end for us. It is the beginning. The toxic culture at the highest levels of N.A.R. were present before he arrived and will remain after he departs. We will now shift our focus to bringing wholesale changes to N.A.R. We will work to create a leadership team that better reflects the membership. We will end the toxic culture and create a safe work environment for everyone at N.A.R. Make no mistake about it, N.A.R. is a critically important organization and one that will be made stronger through our collective efforts. Thank you all for being a part of this.
