As students at UCF with limited time left in our collegiate journey, alumni who’ve seen much better, and fans as a whole knowing this is unacceptable, we have a vested interest in seeing our beloved football program succeed. We are disappointed and concerned about the direction the program is headed under the current leadership, Coach Gus Malzahn. Since his introduction as coach, there seems to be a noticeable decline in team performance and plethora of unsuccessful strategies being employed. This does not only affect our enjoyment of the games, but may also impact recruitment and alumni support for the program.

For many of us, college is a unique and time-limited experience. It would be disheartening to see these valuable years marred by persistent poor performance due to ineffective leadership. We feel that this situation might unwantedly deter potential students or have a direct effect on the spirit and morale of current students and faculty.

Hence, our request is clear: we urge the UCF authorities to reconsider Malzahn's position as head coach. We want someone who can revitalize our team, bring back our former glory, stand tall for the Black and Gold, and give us the memorable college football experience we all deserve.
