Official Petition Submitted to the House of Commons!

​Thank you to everyone who has stepped up and supported this movement so far. I am excited to share that our official petition has now been formally submitted to the House of Commons for approval and acceptance by an MP to bring it forward during this sitting of parliament. 

​While we support sensible and efficient environmental review timelines, our petition calls out the dangerous and sweeping overreaches packed into Bill C-39 (the Building Canada Strong Act).  
​Here are the key points and core focus areas we are fighting against:

​Halting Airport & Infrastructure Privatization: Stopping plans to transition critical national infrastructure—including major airports like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, and Calgary—into private, for-profit hands, ensuring they remain accountable public assets.  

​Preventing Unchecked Cabinet Power: Rejecting sweeping authorities that allow the Cabinet to bypass essential regulatory protections and scientific scrutiny under the vague label of "national interest".  

​Protecting Labor & Charter Rights: Removing amendments to the Canada Labour Code that expand state intervention to shut down legal strikes and strip away fundamental worker rights.
