I, along with many others, have deep personal concerns about the use of our mandatory pension contributions to benefit and support individuals who act against our nation's interests. The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) currently holds 2,200,000 shares in Tesla amounting to almost $1 Billion (CAD) of our collective retirement savings. It is a known fact that Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, leverages his obscene wealth and influence to support Donald Trump and anti-democratic movements across the globe.  As many of you know, Donald Trump and his administration are currently exploiting economic and trade levers to weaken our economy in order to inflict harm on the people of Canada and attack our nation's sovereignty. 

By investing our money in Tesla, the CPP is supporting individuals and entities working directly against Canada's interests. This is a direct violation of its mandate to "invest in the best interests of CPP contributors and beneficiaries" and support the financial security and independence of Canadians. This issue goes far beyond the political leanings of Tesla's leadership—it's about defending our nation's welfare and future.

By demanding the CPP divest from Tesla, we take a stand against being complicit in Donald Trump and Elon Musk's efforts to weaken our economy. Let our money represent our values, not undermine them.

I am calling on fellow Canadians to demand that the CPP sell its shares in Tesla and move towards a more ethical and responsible investment strategy.
