The TDSB has indicated that they will move forward with damaging changes to the 2025-2026 Special Education Plan—even though Trustees voted against approving it at the June 18, 2025 Board Meeting. According to their own documents, the Board must obtain Trustee approval. 

There are serious red flags proposed for next year, including: larger class sizes, fewer supports for students, and changes that ignore the voices of parents, students, and educators. 

We have to act fast. The Ministry requires that the TDSB submit its Special Education Plan by July 31st, and the Board seems poised to submit it even earlier, despite Trustees refusing to approve it and despite widespread criticism.
