A 24-year-old woman was cutting the hair of a little girl — just two years old.
As she brushed through the child’s hair, she found knots.
Instead of gently working them out, she reached for clippers and began shaving them away.
The little girl became scared. The sound was loud and strange.
She started to cry out for her mum, who was waiting to collect her.
Annoyed by the noise, the woman placed a mask over the child’s mouth to muffle her cries.
Frightened, the child tried to bite, desperate to protect herself.
The woman tightened the mask, calling it “protection” for her own safety.
When the child wriggled, terrified, the woman held her down and kept going.
Her cries grew louder.
The woman, visibly frustrated, stared coldly into the camera and recorded the child’s distress — then sent the video to the mother, calling her “difficult.”
⸻
Now imagine reading this and realising —
the child wasn’t a child at all.
She was a dog.
Just two years old.
The woman wasn’t a babysitter or hairdresser.
She was a dog groomer.
⸻
If this story had been about a human child, it would be all over the news.
There would be outrage.
There would be justice.
So why is it acceptable when it happens to a dog?
When will we start treating animals with the same compassion and protection we give to vulnerable humans?
🐾 Enough is enough.
It’s time to call for change. Vote and share.
