We are facing a growing issue in our community of Orillia, ON, Canada. Our neighbours' on Orion Blvd’s disregard for proper waste management and parking regulations is causing both environmental and safety concerns. Piles of garbage left outside home attract pests, create unpleasant odours, and pose a risk to public health. Additionally, the excessive number of cars owned by certain residents congests our roads and damages green spaces when parked on grass and interfering with driving safety when blocking views daily at this intersection. (Monarch Dr and Orion Blvd)   

According to the City of Orillia's Solid Waste Collection By-law (2012-12), garbage should be stored in a manner that does not create a nuisance or hazard to the environment or public health. Yet, these rules are being blatantly ignored by some residents.

Furthermore, under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario (R.S.O. 1990), vehicles should not obstruct traffic or cause damage to public property including green spaces - another regulation frequently violated due to irresponsible car ownership.

This petition seeks stricter enforcement from local authorities on waste management practices as well as parking regulations within our community specifically the individuals living on Orion Blvd. Let's ensure that Orillia remains clean, safe and respectful towards all its inhabitants' rights.
