The most recent Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) Crash Facts Report grimly reveals that Alabama's crash fatality rate is on the rise each year and alarmingly surpasses the national rate. ALDOT's report of the economic loss resulting from accidents has surged by 35%, amounting to a whopping twenty billion dollars. This entails not just a tragic loss of lives but a significant economic drain that we can't afford. 

It is imperative to demand that all Alabama state, county, city, and local traffic enforcement rigorously monitor traffic and strictly enforce speed limits and maintain appropriate following distance by citations or fines, ensuring a stringent measure against traffic violation.
