I am Indigenous, and the use of moccasins is deeply ingrained in my family's culture. SoftMoc, a prominent footwear retailer operating in Canada, has built its brand on the appropriation of Indigenous culture without giving back to these communities. Despite repeated attempts to engage them in dialogue, they have remained silent, even resorting to blocking us on social media.

This cultural appropriation exacerbates the socio-economic disparities faced by Indigenous communities. SoftMoc must be held accountable for profiting off Indigenous culture without acknowledgment or compensation.

We demand that SoftMoc allocate a portion of their profits back into the Indigenous communities they have appropriated from. This is not just about fair business practices; it's about respect for marginalized cultures.
