Demand Retrial for Wrongly Convicted and Provide Access to Crucial Evidence

The Issue

I am living a nightmare that started on August 26, 2012, when I was arrested for a crime I swear to the heavens, I did not commit. Wrongly accused, ripped from my family, and my life ruined. All with a singular, heartrending cry, "You have the wrong guy!" Yet, no one listened!

The scene of the crime was a location 16.2 miles away from where I was at that moment. The apartment complex where I resided had surveillance cameras that recorded my presence there. My mobile was also pinged at that very location, further strengthening my alibi. Yet, the prosecutor's office disregarded this pivotal evidence, undermining my rights to a fair trial.

It feels as if the justice system failed me. The authorities that should protect me, destroyed my alibi, violated multiple policies which resulted in my conviction, all while a violent criminal remains at large. The trial had no motive identified, no weapon produced, no ballistic testing – grossly insufficient evidence and conflicting witness statements to place me at the scene of the crime.

We have over 2.2 million people incarcerated in the United States, with an alarming estimate suggesting that between 2% and 10% may be innocent (source: National Registry of Exonerations). I KNOW I am one of them, thrust into a horrifying statistic without concrete and consistent evidence against me.

It's time we turn the tides. This petition is fighting for a retrial, for the whole truth, and for opening up of the discarded evidence that ought to prove my innocence. It seeks to bring attention to how easily and tragically flawed our judicial process can be, allowing innocent lives to be destroyed.

Please, stand with me, fight for justice, and sign this petition for my retrial and for truth to be unearthed. Show our system that we can't sweep lives under the rug. Let's remind them of the primary objective of justice: to protect the innocent. Sign this petition, push for a retrial, and let's bring the real perpetrator to light.
