Demand resignation of UFBU leaders for unmet demands

The Issue

The recent withdrawal of the bank strike by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) without achieving any of the bankers' demands has left thousands of us feeling betrayed and disillusioned. As someone who has dedicated their life to the banking sector, this decision hits particularly hard. Our struggles and the issues we fight for are not just bureaucratic concerns; they affect our daily lives, families, and futures.

The UFBU, established as a collective force to protect the rights and interests of bank employees, appears to have failed in its basic duty. The lack of transparency in the decision-making process and the apparent disregard for the consensus among rank-and-file members is deeply concerning. Our demands for fair wages, pension updates, and improved working conditions were not justly advocated. The leaders who promised to stand up for these essential rights need to be held accountable.

It's time for a change in leadership. We demand the resignation of all current UFBU leaders for their failure to consult with and meet the demands of banking professionals like us. Furthermore, to restore integrity and trust within our unions, there must be immediate elections for the positions of Regional Sec ,Zonal Sec, General Secretary (GS), and President in all unions. This will ensure that our future leaders genuinely reflect the collective voice and priorities of all bank employees.

The trust we place in our leaders is not a privilege but a responsibility they owe us. It is not only critical for our personal livelihoods but for the entire financial ecosystem that values fairness and respect for labor rights.

Join me in urging a transformation within the UFBU. It is time we ensure our voices are heard and that those in power are truly representing our interests. Sign this petition to replace complacency with accountability and leadership that resonates with the needs and aspirations of every bank employee in India.
